Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Prosperity Home Health Care Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458 Job Summary The Home Health Aide plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. This position is responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care and a genuine desire to help others. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs. Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Offer catheter care and support for clients with specific medical needs. Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by assisting them in daily routines. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care or as a Home Health Aide is preferred. Ability to cook nutritious meals and understand dietary restrictions. Knowledge of catheter care and medication administration protocols. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
