Direct Support Professional (DSP) The Felician 21 and Over Program 460 Passaic Avenue, Lodi, NJ 07644 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, including those with disabilities, dementia, and autism. Your contributions will help enhance their quality of life through personalized care and assistance in daily activities. You will work closely with clients to implement care plans and ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Maintain a clean and organized space for clients, ensuring safety and comfort. Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote independence. Collaborate with administrations and Support Coordinators to monitor client progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Document daily activities and any changes in client behavior or condition accurately. Experience Previous experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred but not required. Experience working with individuals with special needs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
