About the

Role:

As a Group Home Assistant Manager you will work closely with the Group Home Manager to ensure the day-to-day operations of the group home runs seamlessly. Your role will be responsible for coordinating schedules and supporting staff in a positive and supportive environment while caring for the residents. as they continue to develop within themunity.

Schedule:

8 Hour shift
Full-time
3pm-11pm + Alternating weekends

Responsibilities:

Assist residents in all activities of daily living while promoting independence
Transport residents to daily program/work as required or needed
Apany residents on doctor appointments and ensure proper follow-up
Attend annual ISP meetings for residents and ensure accurate information
Maintain records of residents’ progress
Assist in planning recreation and leisure time activities, includingmunity outings.
Prepare menu and do food shopping (encourage maximum resident participation).
Check medical prescriptions and assist with preparing monthly medication administration records.
Respond to Life Threatening Emergencies per Danielle’s Law and Stephen Komninos’ Law
Cooperate with HCS and licensee and Department of Human Services in any inspection or investigation
Participate in scheduled staff meetings, and orientation of new staff
Be available for special residence coverage during holidays, emergencies or relief coverage.
Assist manager with monthly reports, supervision, and questions or concerns
Document relevant information in HCS’ Electronic Documentation System.
Review redmunication log book/resident RA notes within 24- 72 hours
Oversee and assist inpletion of shift duties to facilitate good relations between staff

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Licenses:

Valid non-probationary driver’s license required
Must be at least 18 years of age.
ability to lift up to 35 lbs independently, ability to assist in a 2 person lift for residents, while using a Hoyer lift.
Submit to a criminal background check and be cleared by the Department of Human Services prior to hire.
Agree to drug testing prior to employment, as well as random and for-cause drug testing during employment.
Consent to checks against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Child Abuse Record Information.
Attend required orientation and in-service training sessions.
Complete cooperation with the licensee (Hope Christian Services) and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.
