Direct Support Professional Location:

Burlington We are looking for a professional and responsible individual with direct care experience to join our team to assist a 32-year-old young lady with developmental challenges to live her best life. She lives in Burlington County with her parents. She enjoys engaging in and enjoys a variety of activities, including artwork and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, reading, walks, listening to music, and watching videos. It is also important that the right candidate have the skills to introduce new activities. The candidate must ensure that a strict diet and behavioral plan is followed and keep appropriate documentation. The ideal candidate should be able to follow directions and anticipate the needs of the young lady and her family. A critical piece of this job is encouraging the customer to express herself using language and promote the development of her language skills. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Possess a caring, positive, and interactive personality. Effectively interact and communicate with others. Maintain confidentiality. Enjoy and be prepared to participate in recreational activities. Assist with skill-building and reinforcement of skills as well as teach new skills. Must be rational, logical, and able to think quickly and clearly in various situations. Must be able to handle difficult situations while maintaining a calm disposition. Assist and provide guidance with daily living skills, including grooming and hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation and eating. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Schedule:

Friday 3 pm-12 am Saturday 2 pm-12 am Sunday 1 pm-5 pm Per Diem shifts available Additional hours are available for the right candidate.

Pay Rate:

Starting at $22.00 per hour.

Requirements:

Must be willing to have a drug screen, be fingerprinted, and complete a background check. Must have a valid driver’s license, undergo a motor vehicle check and possess a reliable vehicle. Must be familiar with redirection protocols. Must have experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
