Direct Support Professional (DSP) Top Care Support Willingboro, NJ 08046 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying needs. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Provide meal preparation and cooking support, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, reporting any changes in health status. Engage in patient observation to identify any behavioral or physical changes that may require attention. Support individuals with dementia care by implementing strategies to enhance cognitive function and reduce confusion. Work collaboratively with individuals on the autism spectrum to promote social skills and independence. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive relationships with clients. Assist with household tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Skills Strong caregiving skills with experience in nursing home or hospice care settings preferred. Ability to cook nutritious meals and assist with meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. Proficient in observing patients’ conditions and recognizing signs that may require intervention. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various caregiving environments.
