Direct Support Professionals (DSP) cares for individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities. Their main duties include helping Individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting individuals to appointments or other social outings and keeping individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment, following behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.

Additional duties may include:

Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying Helping plan client appointments and organizing a schedule Organizing transportation arrangements to appointments Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities Royal Community Support is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support a Male individual who lives in Short Hills, Essex County, NJ. DSP must be comfortable with community base support. Alexander is seeking DSP who can be a Buddy/ Mentor to help make smart decisions, find things for them to do in the community. Individual does have a dog, so DSP must be comfortable with pets.

SCHEDULE

Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday or Friday 10:00 am -1:00pm 3 hours shift 6 hours a week
