PM Pay Rate:
$25 per hour The client needs support with their ADLs and behaviors. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with varying needs in their daily lives. This role involves assisting clients in home community care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of care plans, medication administration, and specialized support for individuals with conditions such as dementia. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs. Assist with medication administration according to established care plans. Monitor patients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Help clients with mobility and transportation needs within the community. Maintain accurate records of care provided and document any significant observations. Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive support for clients. Requirements Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and dementia care practices is a plus. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual client needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations. Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
