In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Observe and document changes in clients’ physical and emotional conditions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that all areas are organized and free from hazards. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote interaction and community involvement. Support clients in developing skills for greater independence in their daily lives. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and basic patient care practices is beneficial. CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required. Experience in working in group home.
