Direct Support Professionals (DSP) cares for individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities. Their main duties include helping Individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting individuals to appointments or other social outings and keeping individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment, following behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry.

Additional duties may include:

Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying Helping plan client appointments and organizing a schedule Organizing transportation arrangements to appointments Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support a Male individual who lives in Three Bridges, Hunterdon County, NJ. DSP must be comfortable with community base support. Liam is seeking a DSP that can accompany him hiking, ymca, swimming, museums, gardens, and anything that can keep him active. The DSP that can redirect behaviors so he understands what is appropriate. He will sometimes curse, so working on that would be ideal.

SCHEDULE

x3 days of service during the week 10:00am – 3:00pm 15 hours a week
