Job Summary:

Female DSP needed. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. Do you want to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, while working in an organization that values its employees growth and development? Then, join our team! As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in their own homes/community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with their daily living and independence skills/personal care
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
• Accompany individuals to and from appointments and activities.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals
• Implement individualized care plans and follow specific guidelines for each individual
• Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications:

Must be able to accompany and supervise individuals on appointments, community activities, recreational events, etc. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Related work, volunteer, or educational experience required. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Upon employment, must pass all mandatory Division of Developmental Disabilities training and maintain current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR training

Experience:

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality guidelines
