Live-in Companion/Direct Support Professional Person Centered Care Belmar, NJ 07719 Person Centered Care is seeking a caring, compassionate Live-In companion who wants to make a difference in a wonderful young woman’s life while working with a company who values them, their dedication, and their hard work. We help the individuals we support with activities of daily living by fostering independence and facilitating community experiences and activities.
Shifts Available:
Live-In Opportunity Available Scheduled weekly/daily time off Benefits & Wages $200 per day – Room Included Performance Based Bonus Referral Bonus Bereavement Leave Sick Leave Time and half on holidays and for overtime 401K retirement plan with up to 3.5% company match. In Home Health Aid Responsibilities:
Establish a secure, positive environment that nurtures the individual’s needs, self-expression, and goals. Ensuring the individual’s home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You will be expected to assist the individual with housework. Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster independence. Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and needs. Provide assistance with grooming, health and hygiene. Promote independence in daily activities, such as work, learning, and leisure. Maintain knowledge of the individual’s requirements. Encourage self-advocacy by empowering and educating the individual. Support growth and development through various ranges of activities. Arrange and/or provide transportation to the individual during your scheduled work hours. Operate your vehicle in compliance with Person Centered Care’s procedures policies and governmental statutes. Participate in the Annual Planning Meeting to help the individual towards growth and development. Comply with Person Centered Care’s policies and procedures. Participate in annual specialized training to best support the individual’s needs. Complete professional development hours as directed by Person Centered Care. Maintaining documentation in compliance with Person Centered Care’s procedures. Document daily tasks in the activity log. Minimum Requirements Ability to complete and pass background check and drug screening. High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. CPR and First Aid certification that meets the ECC Guidelines. Valid driver’s license, own reliable vehicle, and excellent driving record. Prior experience in the area of social service or life experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
