We are looking for DSPs for our Community Habilitation services. We’re expanding our workforce and looking for enthusiastic individuals like you to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply! We have multiple positions for Community Habilitation ($17/hour, can be full time or part time) and Day Habilitation ($18/hour, full time, must have 6:30AM – 3PM availability).

Responsibilities May Include:
Provide physical and cognitive support to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them lead better lives Ride vehicles and help driver ensure safe and orderly transportation of individuals with disabilities Supervise use of seat belts, harnesses, or car seats by individuals, Follow emergency procedures and help driver administer first aid, if necessary, Follow established procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, assisting individuals, etc. Building and maintaining positive relationships with the individuals Engage in mutually respectful partnership/relationships with the individuals, family members, co-workers, and others Support the safety of all individuals in everyday situations Assist in the development of skills to help the individual meet the productivity expectations of the workplace Act as a role model for positive behavior Ensure there is consistency in the individual’s daily routine. Complete all OPWDD mandatory training. Complete accurate and timely documentation of services provided Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each individual. Monitor and document progress towards goals and objectives. Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and other events as needed. Provide assistance with communication needs, including sign language and other forms of augmentative communication. Participate in team meetings and provide input on individual’s progress. For those interested in Day Habilitation positions, the requirements are: Previous DSP or caregiving Experience Strong passion for assisting individuals with developmental disabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassion, patience, and empathy Bilingual proficiency (highly encouraged)
