Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of personal care services. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including geriatrics, emergency medicine, and hospital environments. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals. Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as clinics, teaching hospitals, and trauma centers to ensure comprehensive care. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required by healthcare regulations. Skills Experience or knowledge in geriatrics and working within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is highly desirable. Familiarity with emergency medicine practices and hospital medicine protocols. Ability to work effectively in diverse healthcare environments including outpatient clinics, operating rooms (OR), pediatric intensive care units (PICU), and teaching hospitals. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent communication skills to relay important information to healthcare providers.
