Direct Support Professional Exceptional Family Resources – 4.2 Syracuse, NY Job Details Part-time $18.50 – $20.00 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Working with people with disabilities No experience needed Driver’s License Organizational skills Communication skills Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description 1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Eastwood, NY Area (MD – LA) A 23-year-old male in the Eastwood area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with increasing his communication skills with others in the community, helping him understand his feelings, encourage him to express his feelings, assisting him with staying focus on a task, assisting him with a routine and keeping track of tasks with his college classes. He spends most of time during college semesters focusing on his college classes and meetings with professors and tutors. He tends to go to the library to work on his classes. During the summer, He enjoys going for walks at Onondaga lake park, local museums, hiking, watching anime, playing video games and on computers. The ideal candidate is creative, patient, caring, and has great organizational skills. Also, active and willing to go to parks, museums, and hiking. Is willing to assist with organization of college classes and appointments, stays on focused and on task, and can adapt to schedule changes during the college year.

Hours and days of work:

Monday – Thursday and Sunday 9am-5pm Starting pay : Starting pay is $18.50/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Eastwood, NY Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. EOE
