General Responsibilities:
Catholic Guardian Services is looking for a dedicated Direct Support professional- DSP . As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you are responsible for the direct care and personal development of each person assigned who lives in a Catholic Guardian Services (CGS) residence. YouTube Required Skills:
Assist individuals in overcoming barriers and building community-based relationships and social roles. Protect the health, safety, and well-being of each person, following their care plan. Support individuals with dignity and respect, teaching skills in daily living, adaptive behavior, and social interactions to promote independence. Implement interventions and procedures (medical, behavioral, nursing) as per the care plan, agency guidelines, and OPWDD regulations. Handle meal planning, preparation, and shopping according to dietary requirements. Perform housekeeping, cooking, laundry, and light maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and homelike environment
Desired Skills:
High School Diploma or GED 1 year of related personal care experience Flexibility to cover shifts as needed Preferred (Not Required): Driver’s License (differential pay available) RNA Certification (differential pay available) AMAP Certification (differential pay available) Shift Supervisor experience (differential pay available) What do you bring to the table: Empathy, kindness, and a natural nurturing ability.
