DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS -11

00pm-7:30pm – overnight, “awake” shift

Position Summary & Qualifications:

Assist individuals in a Group Home Setting with daily living skills and community orientation which includes, but not limited to: Assisting individuals in carrying out day-to-day activities. Support to allow each individual to achieve his/her optimum level in recreation, personal hygiene, psychological, medical, nutritional, domestic and socialization skills as well as the daily documentation of such results. Open to assisting with personal needs such as toileting/bathing as required.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED required. Prior experience and a valid Driver License a plus. Must become AMAP certified within 90 days of hire Visit us at www.avspny.org and on Facebook & Instagram! Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Requirements Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy practices is essential. Ability to provide compassionate personal care while respecting the dignity of clients.
