out of 5 stars East Moriches, NY 11940 ATC Healthcare is looking for dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to become part of our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities and other unique needs. Your efforts will help these individuals lead meaningful lives by fostering their independence and aiding them in achieving their personal goals.
Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Administer prescribed medications in accordance with physician or nurse directives. Provide transportation for appointments and community activities. Encourage and support participation in social and recreational activities. Maintain accurate records of services provided and report any incidents. Ensure a safe and clean living environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other specialized needs is preferred. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
