Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our group home teams across multiple boroughs. DSPs play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives in a safe and supportive environment. This position involves assisting with daily activities, fostering independence, and providing personalized care.

Key Responsibilities:

Support individuals in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational outings. Foster an encouraging environment that promotes independence and personal growth. Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times. Document and report on residents’ progress, daily activities, and any concerns. Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required or willingness to obtain. Willingness to complete OPWDD assessment for compliance with NY state guidelines. Compassionate, patient, and respectful, with excellent communication skills.
