What You’ll Do:
As a Community Participation SupportHabilitation DSP, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals thrive in their communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Attending recreational events, social clubs, libraries, and fitness centers. Going out for meals, movies, shopping, or cultural outings. Supporting volunteering or job-related community activities. Assisting individuals in learning public transportation or traveling safely. Encouraging the development of social, communication, and relationship-building skills. Supporting individuals in making daily choices and planning activities.
Promoting independence with:
Money management and budgeting Safety awareness in public spaces Scheduling and time management Maintaining timely documentation of goals and activities using EVV systems. Following ISPs and implementing behavior support strategies as needed. Communicating regularly with the team about individual progress. Upholding dignity, privacy, and the rights of each person served. Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development. Who We’re Looking For? We’re looking for someone who is: Empathetic, patient, and a strong communicator Skilled at redirecting and de-escalating behaviors with respect Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Organized, adaptable, and tech-savvy (Microsoft Office + electronic documentation)
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 1+ year experience in a human services or caregiving role (preferred) Valid PA Driver’s License and acceptable driving record Reliable vehicle with current inspection and insurance Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
Bonus If You Have:
