Legacy Residential Services is a residential/habilitation provider supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disability and mental health concerns. We are committed to improving the lives of those we serve. We’re looking for skilled, knowledgeable and passionate Direct Support Professionals to cover evening, and weekend and overnight shifts. Specific Duties Provide direct support to clients with intellectual disabilities and/or autism Provide support and assistance to foster maximum independence of individuals Ensure the safety and well-being of clients Observe clients’ behaviors and changes in physical condition and utilize determined strategies to assist the client Maintain records of client care, condition, progress, or problems and discuss observations with supervisor Administer medications (as prescribed) and transport clients to appointments, day programs, job and/or volunteer sites Assist in housekeeping and cleaning duties Adhere to County and State Regulations Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age required High School Diploma or GED required Prior experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required) DSP I Certification Preferred Valid Driver’s license required Successfully pass background check required
