Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Direct Support Professional (DSP) to serve individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in Phoenixville and the surrounding communities. In this essential role, you will provide person-centered care and support in residential and community-based settings, including group homes and assisted living environments, helping individuals lead fulfilling, independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist individuals with daily activities, including hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Facilitate community involvement and participation in recreational and social activities. Ensure a safe, respectful environment and follow all health and safety protocols, including HIPAA regulations. Advocate for clients’ rights, promoting dignity and respect in all interactions. Accurately document progress and report any changes in behavior or health status. Work collaboratively with team members and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Support physical mobility as needed, using safe lifting and transfer techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills. Experience in home or community-based care preferred, especially with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Understanding of individualized support plans and resident rights. Familiarity with group homes or assisted living settings. Knowledge of HIPAA and maintaining client confidentiality.
