$21 – $23 an hour
Job Description:
As a Community-Based DSP , you will play a pivotal role in providing a positive and inclusive environment for our participants. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with adults with diverse abilities in their communities, helping them lead fulfilling lives. Must have valid driver’s license and a car.

Responsibilities:
Community Engagement:
Facilitate engaging activities, outings, and experiences that promote social interaction, skill development, and personal growth within the community.
Personalized Support :
Provide one-on-one assistance to participants with daily living activities, including but not limited to meal preparation and personal care.
Health and Safety:
Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times, including responding to medical emergencies and following all safety protocols.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of participant progress, behavior, and individualized goals as required by regulatory standards.
Advocacy:
Act as an advocate for participants, ensuring their voices are heard and their choices are respected in all aspects of their lives.
Communication:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care and support.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with adults with diverse abilities is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and car.
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to the well-being of others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass background and driving checks.
- Must complete mandatory state training.
