PCA Personal Care Assistant Ephphatha Home Care Agency LLC Harrisburg, PA 17111 Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants, Home Care Makers, and Companion Home Sitters in client’s residences (who may be seniors or not) involving providing non-medical support and assistance to individuals to enable them to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes. We are excited to bring services within easy rich to our communities catering for the elderly and those who might just be overwhelmed with caring for their loved ones recently discharged from the hospital settings and are still recovering to receive the highest standard of care and support, relieving stress while fostering healing as patients or clients are reunited with their loved ones within their normal routine settings at home.

Responsibilities Personal Care:

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, and grooming. Help with mobility and transportation needs within the home or during appointments Collaborate with families to develop individualized care plans to meet clients’needs Report any concerns to the family members and supervisors. House hold

Support:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas to promote a safe environment Performing light house keeping tasks like dusting, vacuuming, laundry and changing bed linens. Preparing meals and snacks.

Companionship and Emotional support:

Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment. Offering companionship and engaging in conversations Participating in the client’s favorite activities and hobbies

Health Related Support:

Providing medication Reminders Looking out for the client’s well being by reporting to the supervisor and family and changes in the client’s behavior Skills Experience is good, but not a must because you will receive training A compassionate heart with gentle fingers, patient to assist clients to their daily tasks Understanding how to adapt to client’s individual needs and limitations Companion to individuals who may be so Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families or loved ones. Ability to work collaboratively with the client and the concerned family or their loved one. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
