PCA Personal Care Assistant Homecare Precision Landisville, PA 17538 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings, including teaching hospitals, Level I and Level II trauma centers, clinics, and inpatient medical-surgical units. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff. Help with mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Support healthcare teams in various settings, including operating rooms (OR) and pediatric intensive care units (PICU). Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies. Skills Strong understanding of patient care principles within hospital medicine environments. Experience working in teaching hospitals or trauma centers is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols in medical-surgical settings.
