Serenity Care Wyoming 80 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, PA 18643 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PCA/Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a personal care home environments. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to medical documentation standards, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Provide direct patient care and support in personal care setting. Assist with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions and treatments. Support patients with dementia care and those with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate medical personnel. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HIPAA standards. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or as a Medical Technician is preferred but willing to train. Familiarity with acute care settings is advantageous. Knowledge of medical documentation practices is essential. Experience working with patients who have developmental disabilities, diabetes, strokes, parkinsons and dementia. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. A commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients. Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
