Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care activities. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infections during patient care. Provide support in medical-surgical settings, emergency medicine, and hospice care as needed. Assist with phlebotomy tasks when required and ensure proper handling of specimens. Engage with patients suffering from memory-related issues and provide appropriate care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans for patients. Ensure cleanliness and safety of the patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols. Requirements Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent certification. Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic medical procedures. Experience in home care, hospice care, or hospital medicine is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including lifting and moving patients. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families. Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining patient safety.
