The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who require assistance with daily living activities and possess a strong understanding of the systems and resources available for long-term care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and dignity. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Help clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed. Administer basic first aid and monitor health conditions while reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by ensuring hygiene standards are met. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans. Document client progress and any incidents that occur during care sessions. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in personal care and developmental disabilities support. Requirements Previous experience in a group home or personal care setting preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility needs. Knowledge of first aid procedures is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members. A background in social work or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
