Direct Support Professional Sentry Services and Supports Mount Carmel, PA 17851 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life, promote independence, and ensure their safety in various settings, including home and community environments. This role requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients while adhering to all relevant guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client’s health status. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement in community activities. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient monitoring and documentation of progress in accordance with established protocols. Support clients in developing skills for independent living, including budgeting, cooking, and household management. Provide specialized care for clients with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care when required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients while adhering to health and safety standards. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Strong patient monitoring skills to identify changes in health status promptly. Ability to provide home community care that promotes independence and dignity for clients. Proficient in meal preparation tailored to dietary needs of clients. Experience in hospice care or dementia care is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Job Type:
Part-time Pay:

$15.00 – $19.50 per hour
