The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and outpatient care environments, preferably within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center. This role is vital in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and assistance tailored to their individual needs. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of patients. Monitor patient health by observing and reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals. Help with mobility and transportation within the facility, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols. Document patient care activities accurately and timely as required by healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams in a teaching hospital setting to support patient education and rehabilitation efforts. Engage in medical-surgical tasks as necessary under the supervision of licensed medical staff. Experience Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is advantageous. Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of protocols within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential.
