Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including personal care homes, retirement homes, nursing homes, and group homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive care and support. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety while lifting or moving them as necessary. Maintain cleanliness in the living areas of clients, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Support clients in engaging with social activities and personal interests to promote their well-being. Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams regarding client needs. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care settings such as personal care homes, retirement homes, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred. Ability to perform basic cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy living space for clients. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Proficient in lifting techniques to safely assist clients with mobility challenges. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
