Job Description
Direct Support Professional-ICF 2nd shift Cherokee Co. Disabilities & Special Needs Board 816 W Montgomery St, Gaffney, SC 29341 We are looking for passionate and caring people to make a difference in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). The Direct Support Professional provides care and training to the (8) gentlemen living in our small group home. This includes assisting with personal care (hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting, feeding); providing active treatment; coordinating leisure/recreational/social activities; and performing and/or assisting the individuals with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation. We are currently hiring for full time 2nd shift positions and variable/call-in positions to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift (weekend availability is required). Hours for 2nd shift are 2pm
- 10pm and/or 4pm
- 12am . 3rd shift is 12am
- 8am . Full time positions are 40 hour/week positions and will require every other weekend . Must be able to attend a one week orientation from 8a
- 4p.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Valid driver’s license At least 18 years of age Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Ability to handle the physical aspects of the job, including walking for periods of time, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and transferring in/out of wheelchair.
