Personal Care Assistant (PCA) IND Care LLC Elgin, SC 29045 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and companionship. This role requires a proactive approach to caregiving, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), meal preparation, and maintaining a clean living environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported promptly. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, adapting to the unique needs of each client. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s overall quality of life. Experience Previous experience in home care or social work is preferred but not required. Familiarity with caregiving systems and practices related to ADLs is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks, including taking vital signs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driver’s license is preferred for transportation responsibilities. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment for clients is essential.
