In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document clients’ health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Help clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment when necessary. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing care plans tailored to their specific needs. Engage in activities that promote cognitive function for clients experiencing dementia or other cognitive impairments. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Experience Ideal candidates will possess experience in the following areas: Acute care settings or medical-surgical environments. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Knowledge of geriatrics and dementia care practices is preferred. Previous experience in inpatient settings or medical offices is a plus.
