Home Health Aide (HHA) Gennea Healthcare Solutions Columbia, SC 29209 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Monitor and document patient health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting their overall well-being. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Assist with medication reminders and ensure proper administration as directed by healthcare professionals. Help patients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times. Participate in training sessions and ongoing education to enhance skills related to patient care and safety protocols. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for each patient. Qualifications Previous experience in home community care, nursing home, or assisted living settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical documentation practices and patient observation techniques is essential. CPR certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and privacy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
