As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights and adherence to HIPAA regulations while delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients’ health status. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the clients’ quality of life. Help clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety. Observe and report any significant changes in clients’ conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to infection control protocols. Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary. Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and dignity at all times. Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being. Qualifications Previous experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Basic understanding of vital signs measurement and first aid procedures. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to perform direct support tasks while maintaining professionalism at all times. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus.
