This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in both home and community settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and memory care needs, demonstrating a commitment to resident rights and dignity. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or community events as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that living spaces are tidy and organized. Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and independence at all times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively. Monitor client health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Experience Previous experience in personal care assistance or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of home community care practices and long-term care principles is beneficial. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
