Direct Support Professional Serene Path Home Care Clinton, TN 37717 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving settings such as nursing homes or group homes and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions and reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel. Prepare meals and assist with meal planning to ensure nutritional needs are met. Support clients in engaging in recreational activities and social interactions. Maintain a clean living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Lift and assist clients as needed to promote mobility and independence. Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individual care plans. Qualifications Previous experience in a nursing home, group home, or similar caregiving environment is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic cooking and meal preparation tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Physical ability to lift clients and perform caregiving tasks as required. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare or related fields is a plus.
