Care Assistant Confidential Hermitage, TN 37076 Overview We are seeking an energetic, compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Some cooking and cleaning may be required and the most members you would be providing care to is 6 members. This role requires a nurturing demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with disabilities and memory-related challenges. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to nursing staff. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including those with dementia or memory care requirements. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following hygiene protocols and safety guidelines. Assist in hospice care when necessary, providing comfort and support during end-of-life stages. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of dementia care and memory care practices is highly desirable. Certification in CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Ability to recognize and respond to the needs of individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client dignity at all times. Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
