Developmental Disability Aide Apprentice Now Belle Meade, TN 37205 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Apprentice to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while making a positive impact on the lives of our clients. As an Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced staff members, learning essential skills in patient care and support. Duties Provide direct support to individuals in a group home or assisted living setting. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and cooking. Engage in patient observation to monitor the well-being and safety of clients. Support clients with memory care needs, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to patient care and CPR. Foster a positive and encouraging environment for individuals with developmental disabilities. Requirements A genuine interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior experience in direct support, memory care, or patient observation is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of meal preparation and cooking skills. CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and respect for clients’ needs.
