This position involves providing compassionate care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. The DSP will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and uphold their rights while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Support clients in engaging in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Provide compassionate care to residents with varying needs, including those requiring memory care or dementia support. Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity and respect in all interactions. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document daily activities, progress, and any changes in client behavior or health status in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist clients in developing skills for greater independence and self-sufficiency. Skills Experience in senior care or working with people with disabilities is highly valued. Strong understanding of resident rights and patient care principles. Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia care strategies. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
