The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care settings, such as nursing homes or group homes, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves direct support, patient observation, and providing care tailored to the unique needs of each individual, including those with dementia. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Prepare and serve nutritious meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are met. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Observe and report any changes in client behavior or health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist clients with mobility, including lifting when necessary, ensuring their safety at all times. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required. Skills Experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred, particularly in nursing home or group home settings. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior. Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Basic cooking skills for meal preparation that meets client needs.
