Direct Support Professional Position Available In Fayette, Tennessee

Direct Support Professional Enlightenment Transitional Living, LLC Fayette County, TN Job Overview We are looking for compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. You will provide personalized support and supervision to individuals in their homes and community settings, promoting independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities Client Care:

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.

Companionship:

Develop positive relationships through active listening, conversation, and meaningful interaction.

Mobility Assistance:

Support with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.

Medication Support:

Provide medication reminders and assist with administration as needed.

Household Support:

Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery errands.

Emotional Support:

Offer encouragement and comfort to clients and their families.

Safety Monitoring:

Stay alert for potential hazards; ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

Documentation:

Accurately record daily activities, observations, and changes in condition.

Heavy Lifting:

Assist with physical transfers or mobility tasks when necessary. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or GED required Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with insurance (if transporting clients) Must pass TBI/FBI fingerprint-based background checks Clear checks from: Tennessee Sex Offender Registry National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) TN Dept. of Health Abuse Registry National Criminal Database (NICS) Driving Record (if applicable)

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Experience in home care or caregiving preferred (not required) Experience supporting individuals with autism, memory loss, or dementia a plus Compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated Basic understanding of social work or behavioral support helpful Flexible availability (some evenings/weekends may be required) Why Join Us?
