Direct Support Professional Serene Path Home Care Bean Station, TN 37708 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and participation in community activities. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs, including those with dementia or autism. Maintain a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health status while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge. Skills Experience in caregiving or home health is preferred, with a strong understanding of patient care principles. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to individual dietary needs. Familiarity with dementia care strategies and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others in achieving their personal goals.
