The ideal candidate will also plan and assist her with daily activities and personal care needs. This role is crucial in promoting independence in ensuring her well-being and promoting an active lifestyle.. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support fostering a positive environment. Maintain a clean and safe environment for client by performing light housekeeping tasks with the client. Transport client to activities and go on walks at the park or outdoors around the home.. Support individual with developmental disabilities. Keep a daily log of daily activities which remains in our home. Requirements Previous experience in home health and personal care is preferred. High school graduate. May be a college student with at least two full days available, 8:30 – 4:30. Must obtain a CPR and first aid certificate as required by Consumer Direct Network. Some weekends would be helpful during church hours. Take client to church on Sunday mornings twice a month. Strong understanding of care practices and respect of client. Valid Tennessee Driver’s License. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Ability to walk up and down stairs. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building rapport with client. Willing to plan fun activities with the client. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
