DSP (Direct Support Professional) Serene Path Home Care Rogersville, TN 37857 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their daily needs are met while promoting their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care or senior care settings, and possess the skills necessary to create a positive and nurturing environment. Duties As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include: Assisting individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Supporting clients in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals. Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions. Providing companionship and engaging clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Assisting with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary to ensure client safety. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel. Experience The ideal candidate will have: Experience in long-term care, memory care, or home health settings. A background in nursing or related fields is preferred but not required. Skills in working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client support.
