8:00 AM•12:00 AM Adult Community Training is a dedicated agency in Loudon County providing essential support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work directly with two individuals in one of our residential homes. While having intellectual disabilities, they also have a lot of behavioral challenges. Someone with experience is preferred. About the Role As a Direct Support Professional , you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities, some of whom have behavioral challenges. This position requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing person-centered care. Prior experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Assist with personal care needs, including hygiene, showering, toileting, and cleaning up after voiding and bowel movements. Provide support with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and community outings. Encourage independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Engage in social and recreational activities to promote well-being and community integration. Maintain a clean and organized living space to ensure comfort and safety. Communicate effectively with team members to provide the best possible care. What We’re Looking For ✔ Compassionate and patient individuals with a strong desire to support others. ✔ Ability to provide personal care and assist with daily living activities (ADLs). ✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills. ✔ Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities. ✔ Experience in caregiving or behavioral support is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person! Requirements Must pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Please note: CBD use will result in a positive drug test ).
