This position involves providing compassionate care and support to clients in various settings, including home community care and assisted living environments. The DSP will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Duties Provide patient care and support for individuals with memory challenges, including dementia care. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel. Facilitate social interactions and community engagement to promote mental and emotional well-being. Administer first aid when necessary and ensure a safe living environment for all clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and care provided. Qualifications Previous experience in senior care, home health, or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia care practices is beneficial. Strong understanding of ADLs and the ability to assist clients effectively. Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy towards individuals with disabilities or special needs. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
