Direct Support Professional Merging Happiness & Inclusion Murfreesboro, TN 37129 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence, dignity, and personal growth. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a supportive environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation. Implement individualized support plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals. Provide companionship and engage clients in social and recreational activities. Maintain accurate records of client progress and document any changes in behavior or health status. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality regarding client information. Administer first aid and CPR as needed, ensuring the safety of all clients. Collaborate with family members, and other support staff to coordinate care effectively. Assist with Day Program tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and organizing to create a safe living environment. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
