The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they care for, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times. This role requires a blend of empathy, patience, and practical caregiving skills. Duties Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Support individuals with daily living tasks while respecting their rights and preferences. Engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance their social interaction and well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following health and safety protocols. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in resident conditions to the appropriate personnel. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is an asset. Familiarity with home community care practices is advantageous. Understanding of resident rights and the ability to advocate for those in your care is essential. Skills in medication administration are highly valued.
