Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team. PCAs are responsible for delivering services authorized under Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waivers—such as

CHOICES, ECF

CHOICES, or other state-supported programs—in alignment with individual service plans and agency policies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, eating, and mobility assistance. Implement care services per the participant’s approved Medicaid waiver plan of care or person-centered support plan. Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as specified in the service agreement. Monitor client condition and report any significant changes to the care coordinator or supervisor in accordance with Medicaid documentation requirements. Complete timekeeping and care documentation accurately, using electronic or paper-based reporting systems approved by the state. Provide supervision and behavioral support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities when required. Adhere to Medicaid waiver compliance standards and agency-specific protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of caregiving experience, preferably with populations served under Medicaid waivers. CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes. Must pass background check, drug screening, and meet Medicaid provider eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with HCBS waiver services such as Personal Assistance, Community Living Supports, or Respite. Experience supporting individuals with behavioral health needs or cognitive disabilities. Patience, dependability, and strong interpersonal skills.
